About Us
Flourish - to grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly congenial environment.
Flourish can help you, your child’s teachers and any other specialists working with you child to be really clear about what your child needs to be successful when learning, so that teaching and specialist intervention can be adapted accordingly - creating that congenial or perfect learning environment.
Flourish was originally established as a result of a desire to help children and their families to navigate the difficult journey that can often follow after a learning need is identified by a teacher or other educator. Often questions follow of where to go for support? Who shall I speak to, to get a diagnosis? Do I need a GP referral? Should i even need a formal diagnosis? Do I want to 'label' my child?
As a teacher for over 17 years, with a degree in Psychology before this, my goal is to bring my two areas of interest together to help families on this journey. You can read more about me here.
By finding out how your child learns and what modifications they may need to make learning accessible, the path becomes clearer.
